The Dart Valley Systems (DVS) clinical sensor tap is wall mounted and is ideal for installation above wash troughs and basins when plumbing services can be concealed behind IPS panels or a service void. Designed for use within clinical settings, particularly scrub up scenarios.
Available spout lengths: 150mm, 200mm or 250mm. Supplied with a brushed 316 stainless-steel finish as standard.
The tap has a long reach and is pre-programmed to provide a longer sensing range and run-on time, meaning that surgeons can wash their hands and forearms easier and for longer.
The clinical sensor spout has a simple design which ensures the ultimate in hygiene and aesthetics for the most discerning of clients. The robust design and build quality also make it ideal for healthcare applications. Standard run time is 20 seconds with options to vary between: 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 secs.
When a user puts their hands under the tap the infra-red detector activates the solenoid valve, causing it to open. The valve remains open while the user’s hands are under the tap allowing them to wash their hands thoroughly. Once the user removes their hands the sensor activates the solenoid valve to close and the water flow is stopped.
The wall mounted spout is manufactured from 316 stainless steel, with a solid 38mm stainless steel ingot for the head assembly. Supplied with pex tails as standard; copper and stainless steel tails also available.
Power options include both battery and mains electrical supply. Mains power kits can be purchased for 1 station, 2 station or 3 station scenarios (taps must be adjacent to each other). Battery kits are only available to suit 1 tap.
Also, choose from standard OR low-pressure arrangement. Standard pressure set up assumes 1-6 bar; low-pressure kits available to suit 0-1 bar.
These taps can be pre-set prior to delivery or adjusted on-site using a handheld programmer (customise to include). All taps feature a chlorination option for new installations or where flushing is required and a built-in purge facility, ideal for areas where water condition is critical. A number of helpful reporting features can also be accessed via the hand-held controller (sold separately), including the number of tap operations and purges which have occurred.
All electronics are housed within the body of the tap. A separate solenoid valve controls the flow of water and is connected to the tap using secure IP65 rated connection cables. The power supply or battery pack is also connected in the same way.
All Aquarius sensor taps have an anti-vandal mode ensuring that if someone deliberately blocks the sensor, the tap will only run for one minute. The sensor will then lock off until the sensor has been cleared and the tap then resets, preventing water wastage and the risk of overflow or flood.
Features:
Tap kits include a battery pack or mains PSU, solenoid valves and associated connecting leads. Standard pressure suitable for 1-6bar. Low pressure available (please enquire) suitable for 0-1 bar.
Dart Valley Systems (DVS) Manufacturer Warranty - Spouts and Taps are guaranteed for 2 years from purchase against defective material and assembly. The automatic tap kits are guaranteed for 2 years from purchase against defective material and assembly. Solenoid valves are guaranteed for 12 months, subject to water condition, however, it is expected that the valve internals will operate efficiently for many years.
