The Aquarius Short Pillar Tap has a simple design which ensures the ultimate in hygiene and aesthetics for the most discerning of clients. The robust design and build quality also make it ideal for most commercial washrooms with particular appeal in offices, hotels and general commercial applications where high sided basins are used.
When a user puts their hands under the tap the infra-red detector activates the solenoid valve, causing it to open. The valve remains open while the user’s hands are under the tap allowing them to wash their hands thoroughly. Once the user removes their hands the sensor activates the solenoid valve to close and the water flow is stopped.
Power options include both battery and mains electrical supply. Mains power kits can be purchased for 1 station, 2 station or 3 station scenarios (taps must be adjacent to each other). Battery kits are only available to suit 1 tap.
Also, choose from standard OR low-pressure arrangement. Standard pressure set up assumes 1-6 bar; low-pressure kits available to suit 0-1 bar.
Short Pillar taps can be pre-set prior to delivery or adjusted on-site using a handheld controller (additional cost). All taps feature a chlorination option for new installations or where flushing is required and a built-in purge facility, ideal for areas where water condition is critical. A number of helpful reporting features can also be accessed via the hand-held controller (sold separately), including the number of tap operations and purges which have occurred.
All electronics are housed within the body of the tap. A separate solenoid valve controls the flow of water and is connected to the tap using secure IP65 rated connection cables. The power supply or battery pack is also connected in the same way.
All DVS sensor taps have an anti-vandal mode ensuring that if someone deliberately blocks the sensor, the tap will only run for one minute. The sensor will then lock off until the sensor has been cleared and the tap then resets, preventing water wastage and the risk of overflow or flood.
