Toilet Pack FAQs

What is a toilet pack?

A toilet pack is a product which contains all the components you need for a toilet (such as the toilet pan, cistern and toilet seat). WC packs are ideal for both domestic and commercial washrooms as they include everything needed and are available in either a modern or traditional style which can suit any bathroom.

Our toilet pack range here at Commercial Washrooms is affordable, built to last and designed with comfort in mind.

Which toilet pack is best for me?

Here are a few considerations for you to make to determine which WC pack best fits the needs of your washroom:

  • What is the style of your bathroom? A back-to-wall toilet pack is particularly well suited to modern bathrooms with its seamless design, whilst a low-level toilet pack can offer a more traditional feel with its exposed flush pipe and plumbing.

  • What is your budget? How much you have to spend on new toilet pack products will inevitably play a part in which toilet pack you go for.

  • How easy will it be to access the toilet cistern? It’s worth considering how easy it will be to access the cistern should you need to. For example, a close-coupled toilet pack will include a cistern that sits above the toilet pan, and so will be within easy reach, whereas a back-to-wall toilet pack will require you to either remove a flush plate (which is still quite simple) or get behind an IPS panel which could take a little more time.

If you’re unsure of which toilet pack is right for you, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

What types of toilet packs are there?

Here at Commercial Washrooms, we sell a range of toilet packs including:

  • Back to wall toilet pack - back to wall toilets feature concealed cisterns, which are hidden from view as they sit behind a wall or IPS panel. When a user is seated, their back will rest against the wall as opposed to a toilet cistern. A back-to-wall toilet pack is a popular option for more modern bathrooms as it offers a more seamless aesthetic.

  • Close-coupled toilet pack - close-coupled toilets feature a ceramic cistern which is fitted on top of the back of the toilet pan. They are often a cheaper alternative to toilets with concealed cisterns as there’s no need to purchase IPS ducts or support frames. They also allow for easy access to the toilet cistern should it be necessary.

  • Low-level toilet pack - low-level toilets feature a ceramic cistern which is fitted at a low level on the wall and is connected to the toilet pan with a metal flush pipe (this is exposed and visible, giving it a more traditional, Victorian style).

  • Doc-M toilet pack - here at Commercial Washrooms, we sell back to wall, close-coupled, low-level and wall hung Doc-M toilet packs which comply with the UK Building Regulations Document M and are specifically designed for disabled toilets to make washrooms accessible.
