The Birth of NYMAS:

Frank Anderson, Chairman and Founder, explains how the business was born; “Having nearly 50 years engineering experience, I started the business in the late 90’s by asking myself how I could add value to a piece of metal tube. The answer was to make a simple grab rail.”

He soon realised the positive impact grab rails could have on someone’s life when living with a disability.  Frank quickly developed a small product range and thus NYMAS was born.

In 2005, Craig Anderson joined the company, initially working in production before heading up sales and marketing, gaining the reins as Managing Director in 2013 to push the growth of NYMAS.

Over this time, the company continued to develop the product range and achieved year on year growth needing to take on additional premises and more than doubling the warehouse space.  In December 2015, the company took the step of acquiring Barwood Products which almost doubled the turnover of the business overnight.

Frank said; “The business has grown year on year, and with exciting plans in the pipeline, we plan to almost double in size by end of 2020.”
