Wimbledon Park Golf Club is a well respected south London course that shares a close relationship with the famous tennis club just down the road. Having been approached by the committee, we created a specification for the renovation works of the club’s male washrooms and provided everything from the sanitary ware and fittings, through to the mirrors, taps and soap dispensers.
A full specification, CAD drawings and 3D visuals allowed the committee members to circulate the detailed plans ahead of work taking place and informed members of the new changes that were scheduled.
We provided a half-height duct system in the toilet cubicles, which conceals the cistern and all mains and waste services. Future access to these services is made via a removable panel and the half-height duct set created a shelf behind the toilets which can be used for decorative features like a vase of flowers, or for storage of bags or jackets.
The duct panels and toilet cubicles were made from Solid Grade Laminate, which is one of the most durable, long-lasting materials available and carried a high-end walnut veneer finish. This striking material was also used on the vanity unit underframe beneath a Solid Surface vanity top with moulded Corian basins. Bespoke access panels were fitted underneath for maintenance access and cleaner storage.
We also provided two custom made large-format mirrors above the hand wash area, which had the golf club’s logo etched into the glass. Nearby, a Biodrier Lite hand dryer was installed, alongside a hair dryer, both within easy reach of the vanity unit.
Armitage Shanks sanitaryware was installed including the Sanura HygenIQ urinal, which has a concealed trap meaning all pipework is hidden within the unit. This not only improves the aesthetics of the unit but also makes it easier to clean.
Because we were able to supply the complete washroom, including all fixtures, fittings and associated materials, the installation of Wimbledon Park Golf Club’s new washrooms was made much easier for the contractors and the renovation was completed in just four weeks.
